Guess what I have a new fandom and it’s Jared Padalecki with dogs
Police officers rescued the little pup from an abusive owner. And then one adopted her.
-And God took a handful of southerly wind, blew His breath over it and created the horse.
I always think it’s funny (watch me not laugh, though…) that people paste this quote onto photos or use it as a caption, with little thought to the cultural context from whence it came. It was made for the Arabian, a breed with extremely stringent standards (read: with asil bloodlines that don’t allow for pinto colorations like that of the horse in the photo) that developed over thousands of years in close connection with the Bedouins (read: with Muslim Arabs.) The quote above is an excerpt from one of the Bedouin origin legends of the Arabian horse:
"And Allah took a handful of southerly wind,
blew His breath over it, and created the horse.
He said to the magnificent creature,
"I have made thee as no other.
All the treasures of the earth lie between thy eyes.
Thou shall carry my friends upon thy back.
Thy saddle shall be the seat of prayers to me.
Thou shall fly without wings,
and conquer without any sword. Oh, horse.”
